Pay 1999 KES for a monthly bundle that gives you 300 SMS and 700 minutes. That 10 SMS and 23 minutes for you to use daily on average for 67 KES. If we're looking at a normal cost of 1 KES per SMS, we can calculate a theoretical cost of calling at 2,5 KES per minutes. Not great, but not bad either. And, strangely enough, more expensive than the the cheaper Equitel Ongea Monthly @Sh1,499.
Telkom Holla Premium and Holla Plus are superior mixed daily bundles at a fraction of the cost, respectively 16 KES and 19 KES per day. If you want to buy monthly bundles, then Safaricom Advantage Plus 1999 gives you 500 MB, 500 SMS and 500 minutes per month for the same price. For 150 KES—this is 5 KES per day—you can buy Airtel Tubonge 150, giving you 3000 minutes on-net with the off-net calls at 2 KES per minute. This means that calling with this Equitel bundle costs you more than calling off-net with an Airtel Tubonge 150 bundle that costs you less than 1/10th of the price.
Our review conclusions: Not great. Not bad. But not for us.
